The amazing and durable Geekvape Aegis has been upgraded! If you're interested in ruggedized, waterproof box mod, look no further than the amazing new Geekvape Aegis Legend!
Some things in your life, you expect resilience from. You expect your 300m digital watch to be okay in the shower. You expect your snow boots not to fall apart at the first sign of winter. You expect your car to survive a rainstorm with nary a scratch. Mods aren't that way, traditionally. In the past, you've had to coddle your mod, had to keep it safe from dangers like "the sink" and "mild rain" and "falling a couple feet".
Well, that doesn't work for all of us. Maybe you want to go camping without worrying that a single drop from your pocket will leave you without your vape all weekend. Maybe you want to go canoeing or fishing, without keeping your mod in a dry box whenever you're not using it. Maybe you're a first responder or you're in the military, and you can't predict what your tomorrow will involve. Maybe you work in a rough shop, and don't feel like keeping your mod in your locker the whole time you're on the floor. Maybe you want to go four-wheeling, but don't want to spend the next week pouring sand out of your mod. Maybe you're just one of those people who measures their iPhones in shattered screens, and are sick of shelling out buckets of ducats every time you have a little fumble-whoopsie. Maybe you want to have one ski trip where your mod doesn't freeze up in the cold and then die from condensation when you power it on.
Until now, your options for waterproof mods were...not great. Not great at all. There were a couple, but they were low-quality bodge jobs, rather than a top-tier mod from a high-end company, and they had no shock resistance to speak of. As a result, I've spent years carrying two mods everywhere I go, one in a dry bag "just in case", and one in a high pocket where hopefully it won't get wet.
Rugged people, with rugged lives, your long, agonizing, expensive wait is over. The Geekvape Aegis mod is waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof. We've seen people dunk them in beer and vape juice, seen people run them over with tractors, drop them off high balconies, even freeze them in blocks of ice. As everyday experiences, you wouldn't want to do those things, but isn't it nice to know you can? (We've seen it survive freezing, but we've seen freezing kill it, too: so maybe don't torture-test your new mod, yeah?)
And Geekvape isn't just saying it'll do this stuff, they've actually had it tested: it's not only passed the rigorous MID STD 810G-516.6 military grade shockproof tests, but it's also IP rated at IP67, meaning it's "Totally protected against dust" and "Protected for up to 1m of immersion for up to 30 minutes". You really shouldn't leave your mod in three feet of water for half an hour, but at least you know a touch of hard rain isn't going to ruin your awesome mod.
A good mod is more than one thing, though. It's not enough for it to be waterproof, if it's not going to also be a fantastic mod. I mean, a rock is waterproof, but you're not going to vape on it, yo. Fortunately, we're talking about a Geekvape product here, so this isn't some cobbled-together glued-up box, this is a highly engineered, properly-vented, well-developed waterproof box mod, with loads of features beyond just being ruggedized.
The Geekvape Aegis is a 100 watt single-battery box mod, and it does all the things you'd expect it to, for sure: a good solid power mode (though good luck hitting 100 watts on sub-ohm coils with one battery; even Geekvape still has to obey the laws of physics every so often), temperature control features including stainless steel, nickel, titanium, and a great TCR mode for custom wire. It's all here.
But let's step beyond the standard. First of all, the Geekvape Aegis will accept four different sizes of battery, from the typical 18650 to the enormous 26650, and even the more obscure 20700 and 21700. That's enormous flexibility for a mod that's already "go anywhere".
And it has a really exciting power curve adjustment: rather than some vague "how hard do you want this to hit" adjustment, the Aegis lets you select the target wattage in half-second increments for the first 2.5 seconds after you hit the fire button. Ramp slow, ramp fast, ramp up and down if you want: the Aegis makes it possible. While you can't charge through the USB port (which you generally shouldn't do, anyway), it's got one, and Geekvape upgrades firmware regularly, unlike some mod manufacturers!
Filling out the theme of flexibility, our Geekvape Aegis kit comes with the Geekvape Shield tank, which cleverly uses the Smok Baby Beast coils, so you don't have to buy into yet another coil ecosystem, and you don't have to worry that your local vape shop won't carry your obscure tank's one-off coils. Typical for Geekvape, they've thought this all out. The tank isn't waterproof - that'll be next, I'm sure - but the worst that happens there is you get water in your coils and have to swap out. Compared to "no mod for our awesome weekend in the Sierra mountains", that's not bad at all.
Waterproof. Shockproof. Dustproof. Takes four different sizes of battery. Adjustable power curves. Wattage, bypass, and TC modes. What other mod can do all that? Only the Geekvape Aegis, that's right. No other waterproof box mod even comes close to delivering the durability and flexibility of this incredible ruggedized box mod. Buy one today and stop worrying about living your life!
And don't forget, there's a new ruggedized, waterproof vape mod in town: the Geekvape Aegis Legend is everything the Aegis was, and more!
