Take your seats, scholars! We've got an exciting one for you today, as we look to the stars for the all-new Lost Vape Orion Q, an amazing new pod system that just might look a little familiar! If it's looking familiar to you, that's because it's an above-the-skin-twin of the Lost Vape Orion, the DNA-chip pod system on the market. The Orion Q brings over that esteemed device's quality, features, and good looks, but leaves behind some cost and some DNA-specific abilities.
LWe're going to take a look at the Orion Q, its design and features, and find out if it's the pod system you've been hunting for! Grab your boxes and let's tear into this thing.
What's in the Box?
Besides the requisite warranty cards and owner's manual - and seriously, you shouldn't just throw that stuff to the side; you should absolutely look through them, just not now! - there's an Orion Q, looking slightly incomplete without its pod installed. We'll get to that in a moment. Also included is a USB charge cable, in case you don't have 500 of those just lying around in drawers.
Very interestingly, in an old-school throwback, Lost Vape also includes a silicone ring that goes around the Orion, and a lanyard! Isn't it kinda time that pods on a lanyard made a comeback? Lost Vape thinks so, but it's up to you to find out!
What's not in the box? A pod. Yeah, slightly weird, we agree, which is why Mister-E-Liquid, our corporate overlord, hallowed by thy name, as throwing in a free Lost Vape Orion Q 1.0 ohm Replacement Pod with every Orion Q order. The whole point of pod systems is that they're all-in-one and ready-to-go, so Mister-E-Liquid is making sure you're ready to go with this all-in-one solution, by throwing in a free pod. Thank them by ordering a couple spares while you're there, yeah?
The Apple Doesn't Fall Far
So, as we mentioned previously, the Orion Q owes a lot to its progenitor, the Lost Vape Orion, with one key difference: no DNA chip. That saves some serious buck, because DNA doesn't let those things go for nothing. But you don't really lose the most important features, and you gain a shedload of simplicity, if simplicity was the sort of thing you could store in a shed.
It is still regulated, though, so every erg of that 950 mAh battery is coming through at the same wattage, top to bottom. None of that typical pod system drek where your hits are weaker at the end of the day, no way: regulated power means constant, steady 17 watt hits all day long.
It's so simple that it only has one control, and one display: the control is the fire button, and the display is a little LED that shows blue when it's fully-charged, purple when it's below two-thirds or so, and red when it's nearly empty. Whacking a full charge into this sucker only takes 45 minutes or so, meaning you can charge it throughout the day if you need to - though 950 mAh on a pod system will be all-day for a lot of us!
Talkin' About Pods
Okay, now we come to maybe the best part of the Lost Vape Orion family: it's top-fill, and top-airflow! That's right, no disassembly required to fill, no leaks from the fill cap being on the bottom, no fussing around with internal airflow. Just unscrew the fill cap, add vape juice, and go. (Though it pays to let it sit for maybe five minutes on first fill to let that wick get saturated.) We recommend a 50% VG vape juice - like, say, all of our Mister-E-Liquid vape juice flavors are available in - for the best balance of flow and throat hit.
To install the pod, simply pull the retaining slider down, hook the pod in the groove on the opposite side, and lever the pod into place. It'll click, but it doesn't hurt to give it a little pull to make sure it's seated in place.
That is literally it. If this is the pod system you've been on the hunt for, head over to Mister-E-Liquid and buy a Lost Vape Orion Q Pod System today.
