Cartomizers are found on most cig-a-like devices. They consist of a metal tube with a coil in the middle that is suspended by filler material. The filler material is fully saturated with e-liquid, then attached to the battery to use. When cartomizers go bad, they are replaced by an entirely new unit. Cartomizers can come with holes in the side casing, from the manufacturer, to allow the use of a tank or cartotank, which is held in place by O-rings. After saturating the wicking material in the cartomizers, the tank is partially slid on and filled through the remaining hole at the top of the device. After the tank is filled, it is slid down the cartomizers ensuring the holes are not blocked. When drawing on a cartotank, a suction is created that pulls liquid from the tank into the filler material of the cartomizers, keeping it saturated. For cartomizers and carto tanks, click here.
